Reese Tenant Receives Nuclear Quality Assurance Recognition 
It's big- really big and it is the recognition that WesTex Document Inc. meets the exceedingly high standards demanded by the U.S. nuclear energy industry. WesTex Document, Inc. is a records management company located at the Reese Technology Center in Lubbock, Texas. The company received notice that its Nuclear Quality Assurance Management Plan has been accepted and the company placed on an approved nuclear industry vendor list. “It is even more significant when it assists another new business in the region meet their own quality assurance measures and enhance the growth of jobs to the region,” said John E. Miller, President/CEO of WesTex Document, Inc - referring to the National Enrichment Facility (NEF) in Eunice, N.M. A letter was sent to Mr. Miller this week stating, “Based on satisfactory responses to our audit and verifications of corrective action implementation, WesTex Document, Inc. is approved for Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) document storage without restriction.” WesTex Document’s practices were found to be acceptable during the audit conducted over the past several months and will be providing off site document storage, including NQA-1 and possibly Classified and Safeguards information in their newly constructed Secure Vault System. They have been providing secure document shredding services for the NEF over the past year as the plant under goes construction. In making the announcement, Mr. Miller said “Our vendor chose WesTex Document, Inc. over all others in the United States because we met the nuclear quality assurance program requirements they require - not some purchased trade association certification program or other claim. “With the help of American State Bank, we’ve made substantial investments to meet the needs of this nuclear energy industry project. The results will further assist us in positioning our company, the Reese Technology Center, and the City of Lubbock on the forefront nationally for the nuclear industry,” said Mr. Miller. Established in Midland, TX in 1997, WesTex Document, Inc. occupies a 50,000 sq. ft. facility at the Reese Center offering secure electronic imaging, professional document storage and document/product destruction services. Six years ago with just three employees, they received a jobs incentive package from Market Lubbock and now boasts a staff of 30 employees, with a annual payroll of just over a half million dollars. Mr. Miller holds professional credentials in Homeland Security as well as being Sensitive Security Information Certified and a Lieutenant Colonel, Army of the United States – Retired.
