80 New Jobs (Estimated) Coming To Reese

Four new companies and 80 or so new HIGH paying jobs are coming to Reese in Lubbock County.

Even more brand new jobs are coming to Reese Center. Yesterday we told you about a wind energy company setting up shop at Reese. But there are three more companies that finalized deals with Reese this week. All four companies combined will create an estimated 80 new jobs in the next three months.

“But the interesting thing is these jobs are good paying jobs for Lubbock. And so we try to focus on the fact that it’s not necessarily just number of jobs but good paying jobs,” says Reese Business Development Director Todd Reno.

The four companies are WATTS Energy, which we talked about yesterday. There’s a local company called GBSD, which will create software that lets 911 operators locate a cell phone. That could improve response times and save lives.

Another local company N-Com will offer both Internet access and Internet & technology consulting to businesses. A brand new company called Tri High Mesa will create ready-built houses that are shipped out from Lubbock to all over the country.
