Bob Barber, the Chief Financial Officer for Reese for over eleven (11) years, inherited a position which had been vacant for several months and literally rebuilt the financial reporting process and continued to improve and upgrade it throughout his employment.
Bob’s experience as a CPA partner in a CPA firm as well as in construction management served Reese well beyond his role as DOF and CFO.
“During my term as Executive Director, Bob adjusted to my style of management, provided accounting and financial services with integrity and reliability, and was a trusted associate who could be counted on for staff presence and mentoring and training to other team members,” Bill Miller reminisced.
Bob was willing to take innovative operational management challenges, changes and solutions from management and convert them into meaningful data and useable reports. He further began contributing to innovation through creative ideas to resolve problems. He was awarded the prestigious “Wrench” award by the staff for his innovation.
While all who deal in numbers will make mistakes, they were few when it came to Bob Barber. Annual audits were among the cleanest experienced by our external audit firm, the last of which required no adjusted journal entries.
Please help us thank Bob Barber for not only his years of service, but for the kind of integrity, reliability and level of performance he brought to Reese.
